Actor Andrew Koenig Dies from Apparent Suicide

Actor Andrew Koenig who starred in the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains has died from an apparent suicide. His father, Walter Koenig, says that his son "took his own life." The elder Koenig offers sobering advice for people struggling with depression, as his son did: "If you are one of those people who can't handle it any more, know people are out there who really care before you make that final decision . . . Talk to somebody." Koenig was 41.
